So for my birthday....a whole month early......Brad bought me this. I have searched the world over from several Bosch dealers to Ebay and craigslist for the very best deal I could find. This by far beat everything I have found over the last few months due to the fact no shipping was involved since I was able to get it off of craigslist and not only is it only a year old it also came with a slicer/shredder/food processor AND the blender. The more I have researched the more I have found it has the ability to do all of the same things as the Vitamix except for soup. If you blend the Vitamix too long it actually heats your food! The Vitamix also has a much larger capacity, but for now this blender will work amazing wonders and eventually in some time I'll add the Vitamix but it not a necessity at this point. The Bosch has solved my whole bread making problem and then needing both a dry and wet blade blender. The blender will do all of our baby food making and wheat berry, rice and bean grinding along with making cowboy juice and fruit lumpies. And, as for the mixer.....it is beyond words!!! I actually think the Kitchenaid is my worst enemy when it comes to bread making. I think that is probably my biggest problem at this point. Due to how large our batches of dough are and the inability to knead it all it actually ends up taking more time to get it mixed than it should in the whole kneading process. I had some GREAT bread come out a few days ago but it wasn't without trying the soul on behalf of the Kitchenaid. I am soooo excited about our new purchase. It ended up being sold by a large homeschooling family that actually has a company called Joyful Living that sells all kinds of stuff to aid families in getting started into a healthy change of lifestyle and also does a FW co op. It was even more exciting to help support them and be able to get to know them. Mother is going to pick it up this weekend and I have to wait until I make our next trip back to FW to pick it up from her....at the end of August! It's worth the wait though!
And here's some stuff I forgot to add over the course of time. I have tons of pics I've fallen behind on. Didn't realize just how many til I started sorting through them for this post. I thought the stick people were kind of cute. Not sure I'd ever put it on the van since we'd have to cut in half and divide it up between the 2 back windows! But I had to post it somewhere since it's so cute....even including the 2 inch height difference between Brad and I! That wasn't intentional but it ended up very funny when the end result popped up.
And then some fun ones of the boys. There's many more but I only had the patience to wait for these to load. More to come later.
Texas wildlife at its best! I had no clue I would ever get THIS close to these things....and I certainly had no clue they were THIS ugly! They're faces are nasty! They're like a small version of an ant eater. Anyway, on this particular night there happened to be 2 of them freely roaming the yard and front porch...oblivious to the many observers they had only a foot away, if that.
This rounded out the night nicely I thought.
