The 30 Day Notice

The Love Project

Thank you again so much to those of you that have already donated to the Love Project fund and have truly seen and participated in what we feel called to accomplish. Our current landlord was given our 30 day notice today. To put it mildly, he is very, very angry and bewildered at our decision to leave. So far, he has not seen our hearts at all and has not seen anything we attempted to exhibit through our love project and all that we have done here. If you have ever been moved by our story or felt any urge to help love him I ask that you consider doing so now. It is imperative that we leave this house with floors in it, as he is angriest concerning this issue and assuming we will leave the house without flooring. We are well prepared should he take us to court. But it is our heart to walk away from this house with it in perfect condition and rent ready for a new tenant. We need and would love to see all of you that have read faithfully, followed us on this journey, whether out of sheer curiosity or a sincere love for our family, to come together to make this happen. It is our hearts to plant a seed of hope in this man and leave him, his family, and his property better than we found it. Please prayerfully consider what part you might be able to play in this last phase of our walk here. We have 30 days left to make this happen. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further please PM me using the blog's facebook page and refrain from leaving controversial comments, as this is not meant to be a controversial post, rehash what we have endured here, or a decision that is up for debate. We truly have a heart for this man and his family and we long to see the vast world of blog readers come together to love on him and make a positive difference within his life and that of his family's. I know it is the holiday season and funds can be tight as you struggle to balance gift giving with every day needs and extra expenses such as food and travel that the holidays typically incur. But please remember that our personal family story is living testimony that God truly does give back abundantly and He blesses those that give. And it just feels good to give.

Within the Walls of our New Home - The Preliminary Tour

This homey little place truly is like moving back into our little dusty home out on the prairie...and every heart's desire....relocated 1700 miles northeast in a sundrenched, rainy, 4 season state. It's not so huge it's obnoxious but not so small we're tripping over each other. And it's just homey. It's not permanent...nothing ever is anymore....but in an act of abounding grace, we are coming into a resting point in this state where we can settle for awhile and just rest.....just enjoy life and our passions for a quiet season. No mold, no mold induced ongoing sicknesses, no mice, no ticks, no flooding basements and pervading stink. We're just hidden for awhile. A private address where we can rest, come up for air, tucked away from the world at large. It's a house of light and windows and sun and rain, gardens, and flowers, woods and pastures. Oldest can return to taxidermy in a state where he can also pursue his crazy insane athletic abilities and gifts. A return to all he left yet now in addition to Scouts, rock climbing, white water rafting, mountain camping, friends, and an upcoming year of football. Children can return to hunting, we can return to venison and no longer having to purchase meat, horses, goats, chickens and our new addition of ducks and a cow. We have no carpet, no subfloors, no peeling linoleum. We have 24 sunny windows to throw open wide in this mild(er) climate state. Hot water that never runs empty and doesn't cost us our life savings just paying the monthly bill. And I just cry every time I think about it. Because, as hard as it's been...I feel so....undeserving. My attitude about this journey....it hasn't exactly won any Mother Teresa awards. And somedays...when I worked my way through basement and mold and sickness....elbow deep in puke and fever, mice crap and mold....I just found myself resisting the urge to blow up this whole portion of the eastern seaboard.....as deputy landlord sat watching comfortably on his porch, smoking his cigarette and drinking his Cheerwine. And then I'd cuss a long string of words that would send a sailor running to confession, stifle the urge to build an atomic bomb...and hope that just maybe he saw the love and maybe he'd feel something in life he's never felt before.

And really....despite it all...I would've stayed here contentedly. We truly had reached a point of total contentment in this place. The love for him...for his family....even for our little dungeon down in the forest....it runs deep. But I see what God has done, all that He has restored, all that He has given, all of His mercy for all the things with which I have struggled, soul searching questions of kids, the happy hearts that continually work on house projects despite our weariness at times. And I look at what we have been given, this time we are entering. Everyone piled on couches once again...reading on rainy days, sprawled out on blankets underneath huge towering trees, dogs flopped everywhere, huge family fire pit, tents once again erected under huge starry skies while daddy camps with a bunch of excited, eager, tent hungry little people. Porch swing where husband and I once again go to unwind and just sit in the quiet of evening watching sky above slowly rotate....a return to a slower simpler life....but changed in a million ways. Changed. We've learned humility, we've known betrayal, we've learned to live out forgiveness and kindness. We're living reconciliation to deeply missed family....4 1/2 yrs of silence all washed away. I've known and risen above temptation in ways I never imagined, I've learned to choose integrity over temptation and all the destruction that my actions could cause. But mostly...I've just learned the height and breadth and depth of grace and mercy and forgiveness. Because my weaknesses and shortcomings...they span the width and depth of the Grand Canyon. Life...it just changes you. But it's not all bad.

The "front" door.

Entering into the sunroom, which will be our new dining room.

Tons and tons of windows..for a grand total of 24 in 1700 sq ft. My heart is happy.

Looking down into sunroom/dining room.

Our functional little kitchen. The kitchen is the smallest we have ever had but it'll definitely work.

Flowery master bedroom door in background

Gettin' comfy.

To the right.....an official laundry room again!

Window looks down into sunroom

Living area....all the windows in the world.

Trading out a fireplace for a wood stove. Kinda sad and kinda cool all at the same time.

More windows!

Lots and lots of walls to paint to hide the few thousand fingerprints it will experience in its near future. Smallest of 3 bedrooms is visible at end of hallway. Larger one on right, bathroom on left.

Master closet! Plenty of room to house the everybody/family closet...out of sight again! The shelving is not built in and we've been given permission to repurpose this shelving in other bedroom closets in order to accommodate our basket friendly shelving.

Master bedroom. Bathroom visible on left.

Master bath...with a huge deep tub I fully intend to utilize. It's only been 10 years since we've had a tub in our own bathroom.

Kids bathroom. Clawfoot tub will eventually be switched out for a large wall to wall tub with built in shower, as I'm pretty sure the clawfoot shower curtain enclosure won't stand up to 12 kids use. Tub finish is chipping in bottom of tub anyway so landlord was happy to fulfill this request also. It will come in time. I'm not too worried about it.

In ground basketball goal, soon to be revived....waiting patiently for the use of a thousand kids.

Chicken pasture to the left, abandoned greenhouse garden to the right. Supposedly in spring it blooms a thousand different things....all planted for an interim time but never quite made it to their intended location. Lying between pasture and garden...the quiet little footpath to barn and stairs that lead to children's playhouse above.

 The back porch.

The 10 acres of woods and a running creek beyond

The circle drive.

From the porch looking towards driveway

View from the future porch swing.

Lots and lots of bike-able creeks and trails.

The new driveway

In conclusion.....words that were given to us, spoken over us, almost 2 years ago on Feb 6, 2012, as we struggled so much in this place. Jobless, sick, treading through ankle deep basement water, naming mice, treating mold, drying a million homesick tears, confused, desperately yearning to return home, and completely ignorant to all that still lie ahead to conquer. This is a testament to a faithful God that does give hope when all seems hopeless, to a God that is faithful beyond all measure and who does come fulfilling promises He gives. This is not the end. This is only the beginning...or really the middle....of all that God seeks to do within our life. And perhaps this is just a resting time before more hard work lies ahead. But we're here and promises are being fulfilled in ways unimaginable. I anticipate all that lies ahead. Because for all that we've been through, overcome, and walked over the course of our lifetime....it pales in comparison to the blessings that lie ahead and what He has planned for our lives. It's not about our comfort....it never was and never is. It's about the fact that He is faithful, he sees, and He cares enough to instill within us that which will accomplish His purpose. Let the world see that He is a living, breathing, moving God...and when in some of the darkest places of life...He gives hope. He does fulfill promises and that which He speaks.

I know everyone and their grandmother is sending you this scripture right now... But bear with me. Jeremiah 29:10 "...I will visit you and fulfill my good word to you, to bring you back to this place......" then, vs 11...read each word carefully my friend, "for I know the plans ( 11 other translations say THOUGHTS TOWARD YOU... Which is a whole other email of stuff god is showing me!) I have for you, DECLARES the Lord, plans (thoughts) to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future! ( exclamation mine;) ... The rest of the verse should thrill you too. "then....THEN( once you know my intention for you) you will call upon me, and come and pray to me, and I WILL LISTEN TO YOU! You will seek me and FIND me when you seek me with ALL your heart. I will gather you from all the nations and places I have banished you( does it not feel like you've been banished a little?) declares the lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile."

Now my sweet friend, I do not presume to know the mind of god for your family... I know that our mind is not his, our thoughts are not his, and our ways are not his. But the more that you lose yourself in him, in HIS thoughts... They start to become ours! We begin to think and manifest in our lives HIS PLANS for us. I want you to know today that he sees your heart, he is not threatened by your anger, he has allowed it for what he is about to bring about in you. He wants you to know that he does not consider your tears or your anger sinful in any way at all.... But rather necessary and ordained by him for the work he is doing even now in you, in your husband and in the individual hearts of your children. He created you to feel deeply, and it is altogether ok that you feel this shift and movement of him on an emotional level. It is a necessary earthquake and shifting, but know this... It is. It is not haphazard even though it feels like it! He has known far before you ever even had children that he would bring these changes, struggles and shiftings into your lives... Into their lives. He very much knows the thoughts and plans he has for each if your children, for their hearts, for their desires and dreams, and for their future spouses and lives. In his Sovereignty has allowed this move, these struggles, these shiftings, this on again off again existence and although it hadn't fit YOUR plan or view of how it will play out.... It PERFECTLY fits his. He is preparing you and your man for greatness, for prosperity and for blessing... He refuses to put new wine in old wine skins and he is pouring out every last drop of old so that he can open the floodgates if new, fresh, delicious wine. The new wine will be unlike anything you have ever imagined... It will flow freely and continually. Don't try to contain it, don't try to even understand it... Just bask in it, Soak it in like a sponge, bathe in it like a free flowing waterfall. It will come in a thousand different ways, everyday.... Watch for it! Taste of it, and see that the lord is GOOD! Fear not, release your fear for your children.... You are on a wild adventure, the nourishing wine of blessing will flow over and through their lives as well ... All will drink and be satisfied. God would have you know that he is not a god of lack.... Until now you have eaten from the plate of want and scarcity, and he has ordained and allowed that season. Prepare for a new season. New wine being poured forth onto the Bettis family... And just like when Jesus performed his first miracle of turning the water into wine at the wedding.... The hosts couldn't possibly afford the quality of wine that came pouring forth from his hand. When the mediocre wine had run out... They were fearful and nervous... Yet what HE brought forth was more than they could have even hoped for It was the highest quality... And there was more leftover!!! ! Let him do what he desires to do. Your job is to prepare the hearts of your family to see him as he is.... To turn their faces up, put their hope in the wine giver and to prepare to drink deeply. The lord will have you know that he is fashioning Grayson into a mighty man of god, that this journey both up until now and from this point on are exactly on target for the heart and life he us fashioning in your precious son! Fear not... For his future, fear not for his dreams, fear not for his hunting, his taxidermy or his future wife. God would have you know that Grayson's future is secure, that his wife is lovely beyond anything you can imagine and is being prepared for him even as we speak. Do not worry how they will meet their spouses, says the lord, I am the director of all paths and it only requires a simple thought of mine to have her path meet with his, and it will be more perfect than you could have ever orchestrated yourself... So cease striving and know that I am god! This yoke is not yours to carry my precious girl, which is why it is rubbing you raw and jerking you around. My yoke is easy and my burden is light.... There will be provision for horses, riding, swing sets, ju jitsu and all the multitudes of other desires that haven't even been uncovered yet. Trust me.... Trust my heart... Trust my nature ... And where you have a skewed picture of my nature... I am about to shatter it and show you TRUTH. The birth of your little one is in my hands, your closet situation has not escaped my awareness.... Your septic, your boxes..... Your dirty basement and even your a/c are being allowed by me. Let gratitude fill your heart, release your fear, let me fill you with all that I am... Let my thoughts become your thoughts and soon... Very soon.... You will ask anything in my name ( translated NATURE btw;) and it will be done. Stay hidden in me... Let me do all that I desire in you, and in your family.... And I promise it will blow your mind. The testimony of these months, will be used by me to minister far beyond any boundary you could lay for me ... They seem long, they seem scary but that is all part and parcel of what I desire to accomplish. Now you shall go out with joy .... And be led forth with peace.... The mountains and the hills shall break forth before you! There will be shouts of joy and all the trees of the fields shall clap their hands. My dear daughter.... Weeping has endured for the night, but morning is dawning... And JOY has come! Drink deeply! I love you my friend..... I count it joy to journey with you... Now, to him who is able ( and willing) to do abundantly, exceedingly more than we can ask, think or imagine... Be glory and honor FOREVER! AMEN ( so be it)! He lives. We. are blessed beyond comprehension...and our children....they are living these things out. They see it. They know it intimately. It is evident within each of their lives. They are joyful, happy, laughing, loved by everyone kids. They know things I never knew at their age. They are seeing things I never saw. I have no greater joy than to know that my children walk in truth. "All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children."

The Love Project

As this chapter in our lives comes to a close we have been asked by many how they can help. This blog, started as a way to unwind, process much of life and attempt to leave a legacy for our children, has grown from its humble, embarrassing, little beginnings to now including the many faithful loyal readers around the world, literally, that have embraced our family. Some of you I feel I would know and hug tightly if there was ever an opportunity to meet face to face. I do not always get the time to respond to comments left on here, the pm's via my personal facebook or the blog's facebook page, or the many emails, but I do feel as if I know some of you well. And while living a bit publicly has its disadvantages we have come to learn that there are so many more advantages just due to the sheer nature of how many people in life it has allowed us to meet and love. I rarely ask anything of anyone, as I find it difficult in life to voice needs. However, if you are familiar with our story, have kept up with what we have walked here over the course of the last 25 months and have been moved or compelled in any way because of it, I ask you to reach deeply and consider coming together to aid in this very last phase of our story here. This home is still in need of immediate funds for flooring and kitchen countertops. Time does not allow us to lay the pallet flooring like we had planned since our exit  has been exponentially accelerated and is taking place much sooner than anticipated. The flooring is currently subfloors, and kitchen countertops are lifting and peeling with considerable mold growth beneath. These are the very last of the projects to be completed. This fund has been established to finish what was begun and show kindness and unconditional love to a struggling man that has known nothing but criticism and judgement throughout life.

We have created this for those of you that have asked if you can help, how you can help, or have asked for a way to monetarily contribute to this labor of love, or for any of you that might be a new reader and just now learning of our story here and feel moved to give. We are in need of your assistance in this final portion of our journey in this place, as it came so much sooner than anticipated. Please join with us and come together from all places of the earth to tangibly love this man and his family, show them that miracles do still happen, there is indeed a God and that he and his family are loved by Him, and by so many others, beyond comprehension. You can click on the link for a brief summary of our story and an easy, safe way to contribute to this labor of love.

How the Love Story Ends....

I didn't see the end coming like this. Lots of people say they did. But I didn't. Perhaps because I just see life through rose colored glasses...maybe cause we've just lived in denial, as people state. Or maybe because this was simply just never one of the scenarios I ever imagined taking place. Cause, after all, when you're obedient and follow God it all ends tied up in a neat tidy little package, right? And when you choose to do the unthinkable and pour money into a "black hole" and some classify you as "missionaries" the "heathens" are always converted in the end, right? You show the love of an invisible God, you "go the extra mile", you suffer a little in American discomfort and then the people "believe" and we all go to heaven....right? But, when it doesn't happen...what WAS our purpose here? Perhaps it doesn't have anything at all to do with doing the obligatory good deed. Perhaps it wasn't about watching a man "see the light". Maybe these last 25 months have been about just learning how to forgive. How to extend mercy and be kind...to love the unloveable....to be uncomfortable for the sake of another. Maybe it was to learn total all consuming compassion for another human being. Maybe it was to learn how much I think I am "owed" in life because America and its people just don't like to think that being uncomfortable may be part of the Christian package. Chunk a few bucks...maybe even 100.00....into the mission plate, take a 7 day trip to Africa and tell a few about Jesus, sit in your air conditioned pew or your chair in the same spot at the same time every Sunday in your big comfortable church, and then go back to your work week, running red lights, road rage, plush car, warm house, running water, working toilet, your 2 or 3 flat screens, your iPad or two, teaching a few fellow Christians how to be better Christians, and return to your upper middle class American life. Everybody just seems to want the free ticket into heaven....to go to church and get the warm fuzzies to make themselves feel better about themselves...that they're good people, right? To hold up the measuring stick to the general population, average American person, and every other Christian within the church they frequent.... sit shoulder to shoulder on Sunday mornings, Wed nights, alienate kids for not adhering to their self mandated, more spiritual than you, dress codes....heaven forbid a teenage boy lust over an exposed shoulder when a 13 year old wears a chest covering, cleavageless tanktop. Chase them angrily down lengthy church hallways and sternly require them to come back and flush urinals like a "good son", voice crazy ideas of how going to the beach with family is far less important than warming a pew every Sunday and getting your holy spirit fill. To hold up that notorious measuring stick turned whipping post to each other and wage the silent war of competitiveness and who can be more spiritual than the other....church member against church member, large family against large family, homeschooler against homeschooler, mom against mom. The silent Christian war. Perhaps these two years were to learn that we're really REALLY different and radical IS just different...and people don't like it...but it's ok.  It's ok to make people uncomfortable...because what the American Christian looks like...I don't wanna be. I find it odd that the Christians are the ones condoning taking landlord to court...encouraging it, except for the random few, yet the "heathens" are the ones encouraging our support and love of this man. The number of Christians that have said "this man has dug his grave, now he needs to lie in it" are absolutely innumerable. How grateful I am for the few close friends we have been given here, that don't judge and have come to aid us in our love journey. How amazed I am by how few but how true and transparent and non judgmental the real ones are. Maybe this whole journey has just been to learn what grace and mercy truly mean...that most people will never in their life know the depth of these two words...because nobody in their right mind ever wants to suffer and know the discomfort it takes to embrace it...learn it...know it with heart knowledge. Nobody ever just willingly signs up for and embraces anguish. Not even me. But we're here...and we're learning it. As hard of a journey as its been. And it goes against every grain of thought in society that exist.

So, I never saw this end in sight. And really....this is only the beginning of a love story...or the continuation of what was begun.  Our little dungeon down in the forest....somewhere, somehow....became home. And it is now going into foreclosure. Landlord is now on his 3rd month of having not paid the mortgage. And just maybe we were brought here for such a time as this...painful as it may be. I've cried over pretty much everything...but mostly how much I hurt for landlord. This man I hated just 24 months ago. I've cried over leaving him in so much misery of his own despised life while we move on and know the hope, love and joy that we know as a family. To know that wherever we go we still have each other and the fun and laughter that is always present here. And he stays....burdened and in bondage to life. I've cried over leaving neighbors that have become family, friends that fill our home daily, leaving everything I thought I hated about this house, the seemingly pointless home improvements we have made if it all ends this way, the money "lost". I've cried over leaving sweet girl's cotton candy stripes and all the love we poured into her little space....how she coos and smiles at the contrast and her little birdhouses. I've cried over leaving our homey, painted, diaper changing bookshelf  and all of its functionality. But mostly...I've cried over leaving our landlord and knowing his hopelessness. How can you just walk away from someone hurting so much as we continue to see blessings poured out upon us and just leave him behind? It feels as though we are just leaving him behind to die while we press forward. Was this really just a brief encounter in life as we pass through? But shouldn't he be left better for having known us?

Until.....as we prayed and soul searching was taken once again to a significantly deeper level, we began to see that maybe our purpose here has actually been fulfilled and we were brought here for this day in his life. And maybe our time to go is now because the work cannot be continued with us still residing here...in the picture. This house....with improvements made can now draw double what he was asking in rent. And when we go he is now capable of drawing enough rent from this house to bring it out of foreclosure...but we are incapable of paying that much monthly. So his new rental income, because of all that has been done, will be what saves this house, perhaps saves him....without us in it. So, our time to leave has come. We have done as much as we can and the blessing will continue after we leave....can only possibly continue if we leave. So, we exit gracefully with lots of tears. If we don't go we will still have to move and home will be lost to him. But if we exit now, before the proceedings begin, perhaps it will be what saves him, both materially and on heart level. And because of it all, I'm just not the same person I was 2 years ago. I have never known such love for someone I hated so much...never shed so many tears for someone I wanted to take to court only 24 short months ago. Because of the road we have walked here, all that has been blogged and unblogged, all that we have walked quietly and all that has been voiced, I have learned how to love in ways incomprehensible to me...that I never knew possible. And forgiveness. It's a painfully, humbling thing to learn....but oh, how it frees the soul to just love and let go, not seek vindication or pursue a road filled with intention to inflict more hurt and pain on others.

And with  God's handprints all over our life, we move into a new home. After almost a hundred calls over the course of the two years we have lived here in our search for a new home...anything to escape our little dungeon....being hung up on, laughed at, scolded, and kindly declined we knew finding another rent home would prove impossible. But, as the new events have occurred and foreclosure is imminent, I randomly looked up rental properties one day, after months of no longer looking elsewhere. We knew the likelihood of finding another rental was slim to none due to all of our previous experience. If worse came to worse it had been decided children and I would return to TX to reside with family until we could build here or something could be found. Landlords do not seem to like people with 12 kids in tow, no matter your story. But this one day, this one totally random day, a 5 acre property sat at the very top of the rental listings. Pictures of dreamy little home tucked down a dirt, tree lined road, nestled safely within privacy of trees and forest with cleared, green, fenced pasture sitting beyond. Old wooden barn, 2 stalls, and play fort housed on top, beckoned for kids to fill it up. No carpet...at all. Laminate wood and concrete floors. So, I took the random chance that this might just be God....despite all the wrestling I do with him. I emailed and corresponded with owner. With no knowledge of family size she agrees to meet us. Husband and I talk with her in person for an hour, easily conversing, discussing foreclosure of our current home, laughing lightheartedly about life. As we near the end of visit husband breaks the news of family size to her.

And she is swept up with unconditional love for us.

Absolute, overwhelming, unconditional, undeniable love. She talks of how property was made for children and animals and farm life. She could think of no better family to fill up walls of home...because, after all, she raised her own children here and it needs children and chickens, horses and goats, tire swings and flourishing gardens again. And this 5 acres of green gets rain, has produced hundreds of lbs of produce in years past, has known animals and children and life. And what we could never seem to accomplish in our little house out on the dry, dusty prairie can be accomplished here. In this place of rain and sun and Eden. A creek cuts through forest and children have explored every square inch. Leaves fall in hair like mercy and grace on our lives...all around us, everywhere. And the big huge pasture beckons for dogs and kids to run freely beyond the trees in sun. Level, cleared land for massive swingset, gardens and trampolines to fill. Old flowerbeds abandoned by previous tenants beg to be brought back to life. And the landlord loves us. We assure property will be left better than when found and anything kids tear up will be replaced with something as good, if not better. She gives us full permission to paint and make the sterile white walls into a home. She agrees to installing a tankless water heater and new windows for better insulation and due to the fire escape hazard the immoveable ones currently are for kids. She loves us. She calls back with a crazy yes saying she loves what husband and I voiced about how we live life and what we believe....what we want our kids to learn in life. Says it's unheard of to meet people that have done what we've done to our current home and raise children with these lessons of love and kindness. She wants to bless us. And the spirit she sensed in the two of us and all the words that were spoken are how she wants to conduct herself in life and everything she loves....only seeing the good in people. She gives us a merciful move in date of Jan 1st but full permission to begin moving things now to ease the stress of moving 14 people. And she says she loves our family. We have been given hard floors, the return to an infinite supply, massive money saving, tankless water heater once more......one of the things we have missed the most, new, high efficiency, easy open windows, a farm, land, seeded pasture, old rustic barn, fencing, ability to garden. And the tears fall like rain.

So it is that we return to farm life, our children bubble with excitement and laughter over what is to come and how they have seen the hand of a living God upon our life once again for the millionth time. His ways are so much higher than my ways and His thoughts so much higher than the way my finite, analytical brain processes life. And when the time has come, He provides and meets needs...and heart desires. There could not possibly be a more graceful exit or happier ending than what He orchestrated. How is it possible to leave landlord so loved, with a better rental income, saving his home from foreclosure, and end up in a dreamy little farm home 200 sq ft larger than our current one and for 200.00 less a month than our current rent home? Some people call it the law of kindness, some just say it's Karma. But not even an atheist can deny the fact that God exists in this...and despite everything with which I struggle as I work out my own walk with fear and trembling. So now we scurry to hurriedly finish up projects on current home and leave it rent ready for the new tenant that will be brought into landlord's life to finish what has been started. Isn't that what it's all about in the end anyway? That we are merely tools to be used by Him, to be the hands and feet of Him, and when our time comes...to be moved on? Because no one person can do all the work. It's a series of people He uses to accomplish the final goal. So it is that we hurriedly paint trim and doors, burn remaining brush and contents of the rogue tornado I became to yard, hang kitchen cabinet doors, and leave him with ability and materials to floor this place after we move. It's not what I envisioned. It never is. But it's God and we move with Him.

"The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."
John 3:8

We move on.
