The Things You Don't Think About: Destroying Your Child's Heart

While I struggle to find time to write these days, and yet have so much within begging release, there are things I read that speak my heart. If I could sit awhile longer these are just some of the the things I would say.....someday....probably never...since I can't ever seem to put words to thoughts quite as well as this. While I know there will be opposition to this, since personal facebook newsfeed and forwarded emails fill inbox with the seeming envy of the "creativity" of some parents and articles of laughing parents putting children in their place, I find myself harboring same thoughts as this author. This is not meant to condemn, just merely make parents think before taking pride in what they deem as a laughing matter of discipline or "putting kids in their place"...or even just the sheer "fun" of what they consider raising, or bantering with, their children. Husband, children and I....we laugh....a  lot. And we tease a lot. And we joke a lot. Our children are definitely not devoid of humor. But there are some things that we, as parents, are just not meant to put on public display for the world at large. You still hold their heart in your hands.

In the meantime, I work on my own blog post...for 5th day in a row. With older children camping and visiting for the weekend I hope to have some alone time tonight to finish it up.
